Critics and fans of Uncut Gems expected Adam Sandler to land an Oscar nomination for his role, but it didn’t go his way when the Academy announced the final five in the Best Actor race. Sandler accepted the snub with a gracious shoutout to Mama Boucher AKA Kathy Bates, who earned a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Bad news: Sandman gets no love from the Academy.
Good news: Sandman can stop wearing suits.
