Kanye West’s controversial appearance on Drink Champs left many people feeling negative toward show host N.O.R.E. One of the biggest problems with the interview was West’s conspiracy theory about George Floyd’s death. On Monday, N.O.R.E. said, “I just wanna be honest, I support freedom of speech. I support anybody, you know, not being censored. But I do not support anybody being hurt. I did not realize that the George Floyd statements on my show was so hurtful. And you gotta realize, it was the first five minutes of the show When he walked in, he told my producer, he said that if (he stops) filming, he’ll walk out.” N.O.R.E. added, “I apologize to the George Floyd family. I apologize to anybody that was hurt by Kanye West’s comments.” Even though N.O.R.E. tried to check Kanye later in the show, the cat was out of the bag. He explained that he was “already inebriated” by then. The full interview has been taken down from REVOLT’s YouTube channel, although plenty of clips are littered around social media.
