Lil Nas X is further celebrating the release of his “MONTERO music video with special edition Nike Air Max ’97 “Satan Shoes”. Playing off the Devil theme, the shoes include the Luke 10:18 scripture which is “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”, 60cc ink and one drop of human blood in the sole. Only 666 pairs will be made, with each one individually numbered. The MSCHF x Lil Nas Air Max 97 “Satan Shoes” drop today and are going for $1,018.
Amid rising backlash, Lil Nas X recently took to Twitter to troll his critics by “teasing another collaboration” with fast-food chain Chick-fil-A involving a pair of customized Nike Air Max 97s. On the design of the shoe, there is a message that reads “My Pleasure,” alongside one of the most widely quoted verses from the bible, John 3:16
