Billboard reports that the viral hit “Old Town Road” has leapt from #15 to #1 in its latest Hot 100 rankings. That’s the Hot 100’s second-biggest jump this year following “Shallow”‘s post-Oscars bump from #21 to #1.

Likewise, Lil Nas X is the first new artist to take their initial Hot 100 entry all the way to #1 since Bradley Cooper did so just five weeks earlier alongside Lady Gaga with their A Star Is Born duet. The last solo artist to do so was Cardi B when “Bodak Yellow” spent three weeks at #1 in October 2017. “Old Town Road” shot to #1 in just six short weeks on the chart; it’s also #1 right now on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.
