Silk Sonic’s 2022 Grammy success will not repeat next year. Bruno Mars told Rolling Stone that the group won’t submit “An Evening With Silk Sonic” for Grammy consideration. He said, “We truly put our all on this record, but Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually, bow out of submitting our album this year. We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive.” The group’s lead single, “Leave The Door Open,” won four Grammys this year. The album was not released in time for consideration for the 2022 ceremony but would have been eligible for 2023.
Bruno Mars, who has not lost a single Grammy nomination since 2014, revealed to Rolling Stone that Silk Sonic will not submit their album for the 2023 awards.
