Four months after Will Smith infamously slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards, Smith released an apology video on his YouTube channel. The video titled It’s Been A Minute, Will addresses questions that some have asked about the incident. When answering why he didn’t apologize to Rock in his acceptance speech for Best Actor on Oscar night, Smith said he was “fogged out” and “it was all fuzzy.” Smith also apologized to Chris’s mother, Rose, and his brother, Tony Rock. Smith said he’s spent the last three months analyzing what happened in that moment and said “there is no part of me to think that was the right way to behave in that moment.” Someone asked if Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, asked him to do something Smith responded to people who feel he let them down.
