Lizzo kicked off the 2020 Grammys by declaring, “Tonight’s for Kobe,” before performing a medley of her hits. Host Alicia Keys alos performed a powerful tribute to Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, with help from Boyz II Men. Demi Lovato earned a standing ovation for her emotional performance of her new song “Anyone.” Billie Eilish delivered an intimate performance of her song “When the Party’s Over” with her brother Finneas on piano. DJ Khaled, John Legend, Meek Mill, Kirk Franklin, Roddy Ricch, and YG paid tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
