25 recordings have just been inducted into the National Recording Registry run by the Library of Congress! The National Recording Preservation Board selects new titles every year that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and at least 10 years old.
This year, 2 Hip-Hop recordings were acknowledged; The Notorious B.I.G. Ready to Die and Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick’s La-Di-Da-Di. Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers and Don’t Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin also made the cut. Check out the full list here!
