1. A disaster relief center is opening at the Lewiston Armory to help residents apply for aid following the flood damage caused by the December 17th storm. The relief center will be opening at 65 Central Ave in Lewiston for Androscoggin County residents and businesses. The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Saturday. Centers are also open in Rumford and Skowhegan. (WGME)
2. Freeport is one step closer to getting a food truck park. A local business owner spearheading the project says the planning board just agreed to move it forward. The food truck park would be next to Athena’s Cantina on Route 1. The owner of Athena’s says the hope is for a park with eight food trucks in a 25-space parking lot next door. The roster of trucks would rotate from June through November. (WGME)
3. Saco River Wildlife Center in Limington says for a small donation, you can name a mealworm or fish after an ex before they feed it to one of their furry patients. The deadline to submit a name and a donation is Feb. 12. For a $10 donation, you can name a mealworm after an ex, for a $20 donation, you can name a fish after an ex and that tasty treat will be fed to a raccoon, while also providing much-needed enrichment skills. 4. The cast of SpongeBob SquarePants will be announcing the Kid’s Super Bowl Broadcast alongside commentators Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson on Sunday. SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) will be in the booth. Sandy Cheeks (voiced by Carolyn Lawrence) will be the sideline reporter, and Larry the Lobster (voiced by Mr. Lawrence) will provide commentary. Super Bowl LVIII Live from Bikini Bottom happens on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon. (P)
