1. The York County Sheriff’s Office says a “lone gunman” got away with an undisclosed amount of money after allegedly robbing the Gorham Savings Bank in Waterboro. The FBI has been called to help with the investigation. People were shaken up but thankfully nobody was harmed. (WMTW)
2. Your CMP bill may be going up in just a few weeks. State regulators are approving a rate change despite calling it a “significant increase.” The average CMP customer could see their monthly bill go up by about $10. 2023 was a big year for severe weather across Maine. CMP says it has $220 million in recovery costs. (WGME)
3. Maine will build 17 high-speed electric vehicle charging stations in the next year, Gov. Janet Mills announced Wednesday. The high-speed charging stations, which can charge an EV 80% in 20 minutes to 1 hour, will feature 52 chargers and expand Maine’s charging network along major highways such as Interstate 95, U.S. Route 2, U.S. Route 302 and areas of Portland and Bangor. 4. Tom Brady, became the 35th member of the New England Patriots to be enshrined to the team’s hall of fame yesterday at Gillette. Jay-Z surprised fans opening the ceremony by performing “Public Service Announcement” a song TB12 made a habit of coming out to during pre-games while suiting up for the Patriots at Gillette. (Yahoo)
5. Celtics are one win away from their 18th banner. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-99 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals last night. Tatum and Brown combined to score 61 points in the game. Game 4 is scheduled for Friday night at the American Airlines Center. (WMTW)
