1. Patriots Day and Marathon Monday. The 128th Boston Marathon is today and according to the entry list, there are 175 people who currently live in Maine taking part in the race, ranging in age from 21 to 73. (WMTW)
2. Cumberland singer Julia Gagnon was the final “American Idol” contestant named to the top 20 at the end of a three-hour episode Sunday. It was the first elimination round of the season that was determined by votes from the public. Mainers can vote for Julia by texting 4 to 21523, or place their votes through the American Idol app or at AmericanIdol.com/vote. Voting opened at the end of Sunday’s episode and was scheduled to close at 9 a.m. today. (PH)
3. Winner takes all tonight at the Portland Expo. The Maine Celtics face Oklahoma City Blue in Game 3 of the G-League finals with tipoff at 9pm.
4. The Maine Mariners are headed to the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the third season in a row thanks to an overtime win in their final game. The Mariners narrowly edged out the Worcester Railers for the fourth seed. Their first playoff game is Friday. (WMTW)
5. McDonald’s is testing fry scented billboards. The billboards have no logos but are placed within 600 feet of a McDonald’s so potential customers can walk right in if the scent causes a fry craving. (FB)
