1. Maine State Police say the body of a 34 year old man was found on the side of Old Belgrade Road in Augusta Friday night. An autopsy on Saturday revealed the cause of death as a homicide. A neighbor believes the victim was shot and says he has a bullet hole in his fence to prove it. (WGME)
2. Multiple swastikas and racial slurs were spray painted on objects within Augusta’s Mill Park. Police say the damage is well over $2,000. They are investigating the felony act and potential hate crime. (WGME)
3. Maine-based Martin’s Point Health Care will have to pay more than $22 million to settle an alleged case of Medicare fraud. A whistleblower said the company would assign additional diagnoses to patients in order to get higher reimbursements under the Medicare Advantage program. 4. Yellow Trucking has shut down. With Home Depot and Walmart as clients the company has been one of the largest transporters of goods for 99 years. Yesterday Yellow ceased operations and filed bankruptcy. They’re reportedly $1 billion in debt. (CBS)
5. After no winner on Friday, the Mega Millions jackpot for tonight is an estimated $1.05 billion. If someone wins, the payout would be the fourth largest in Mega Millions history. (CNN)
