1. Police have arrested a pair of teenagers in connection with a string of local car break-ins in Skowhegan. Janathian M. Viles, 19, of Waterville told investigators that he and another 15-year-old suspect broke into the vehicles following instructions from viral internet videos that show how to steal Kia and Hyundai cars. 2. Nearly 250 people were evacuated from a ski lift at Sunday River Resort on Thursday morning after a lift operator spotted a mechanical issue and shut down the lift. (PH)
3. AT&T’s network went down Thursday morning, leaving customers unable to make calls, send texts, or access the internet. More than 74,000 customers reported outages at DownDetector, which tracks self-reported outages of digital services. The outage lasted for about 12 hours. Some T-Mobile and Verizon customers say they were also affected by AT&T’s outage, but those carriers said they were likely facing problems reaching out to AT&T’s customers. AT&T said the outage was not a cyber-attack. (CNN)
