2. Breeze Airways announced Tuesday that it will be adding seasonal non-stop service between Portland and Raleigh-Durham as well as one-stop, no plane change, service to Jacksonville. Both services will start on May 24. The flights for both destinations will be twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. (WMTW)
3. Plowing for Pizza! Dominos has selected Farmington along with 19 other towns across the country to receive a $25,000 snow plowing grant. Plowing for Pizza not only provides funds to help clear snow but Domino’s will also provide hats, scarves, snow measuring sticks and $200 in gift cards for plow drivers. (WMTW)
4. Universal Music Group failed to reach a new deal with TikTok, and the contract expires today (January 31st). UMG said in a statement that it “will cease licensing content to TikTok and TikTok Music services.” That means songs by artists like Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Alicia Keys, SZA, Steve Lacy, Drake, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Post Malone won’t be available anymore on TikTok. 5. On Tuesday, Starbucks introduced its Oleato line of olive oil-infused drinks. Some drinks include a pump of extra virgin olive oil, while others have the oil infused into a golden foam. You can choose from the Caffé Latte, Iced Chai Tea Latte, or the Dragon Drink Refresher. The drinks have received some online backlash as people who tried them before the nationwide release complained of stomach discomfort. (BI)
