1. Three suspects in Monday’s South Portland ATM robbery were arrested in Mississippi Wednesday while trying a similar heist. Police say they waited eight hours for a technician, then threatened him at gunpoint. The FBI is now linking the group to at least five other robberies. (PH)
2. Maine’s Cooper Flagg has officially signed his rookie deal with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs didn’t disclose details but the No. 1 overall pick is expected to make in the range of $62.7 million over four years. Flagg plans to play in the NBA Summer League, debuting in the nationally televised July 10 game against Bronny James and the Lakers. (PH)
3. Discount grocery chain Aldi is officially coming to Portland. The German-based retailer will open later this year at the former Big Lots site on Brighton Avenue. It’ll be Maine’s first Aldi, bringing 15 to 20 new jobs and adding to the region’s growing list of grocery options. (PH)
