2. NBC News reports that nearly $1 billion was spent on political commercials from Sunday, October 27th through Saturday, November 2nd. The $994 million in ads for candidates and ballot measures is about a tenth of the total amount spent this election season. AdImpact says another $300 million in ads will run through Tuesday, which is Election Day. (NBC)

Fionn Parker-Cummings, a wide receiver / senior at Bangor High School, has pledged to donate his brain to the University of Pittsburgh’s National Sports Brain Bank, becoming the youngest person to make such a commitment. Having experienced multiple concussions, Parker-Cummings wants to contribute to research that could protect athletes at all levels. As part of his donation, Parker-Cummings will undergo annual evaluations with the National Sports Brain Bank. (WMTW)
5. Portland Sea Dogs tickets went on sale Sunday! The team is celebrating its 32nd season in Portland. Next season will feature 69 home games, including 10 fireworks shows. Opening day is scheduled for April 8th. (WGME)
