1. Former U.S. President George W. Bush, a Republican, does not plan to endorse or publicly voice how he or his wife, former First Lady Laura Bush, will vote in the November presidential election. In the 2016 election, Bush voted straight Republican on the ticket but left the presidential line empty — opting not to vote for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. 2. An apartment building in Auburn, one of two being built next to each other, has been destroyed by a massive fire that started late Sunday night. The Auburn Fire Department said the blaze went to a fourth alarm, and a total of 13 departments and more than 100 first responders either responded directly to the scene on Mount Auburn Avenue or provided coverage in the city.
