1. A motorcyclist is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Route 302 in Windham Wednesday night. Police say 48-year-old Chad Jordan crossed the center line, hit a minivan and then struck the motorcycle. Jordan has been charged with OUI, with more charges expected. (WGME)
2. A man is in custody after an hours-long standoff in Old Orchard Beach Wednesday night. Police say 44-year-old Jesse Stevens refused to come out of a home after a woman reported being assaulted. He’s charged with domestic violence assault and terrorizing, and no injuries were reported. (WGME)
3. Maine has confirmed its sixth measles case of the year in an unvaccinated adult from Somerset County. Anyone who visited MaineGeneral Express Care in Waterville Saturday between 8 and 11 a.m. may have been exposed and should watch for symptoms through October 3rd. (WMTW)
4. Police are warning Mainers about a kidnapping scam that makes it appear a loved one is calling. A Pittsfield resident received a call showing their spouse’s name and photo, with a scammer threatening to kill the spouse unless money was sent. Police say contact your loved one directly and never send the caller money or personal information. (WGME)
5. A massive new mural celebrating the Portland Hearts of Pine is going up on Congress Street. The four-story mural features fans in the stands and is being painted by Portland artist Ryan Adams. It’s expected to be finished next week. (WGME)
