1. Maine State Police are assisting Lewiston police with an investigation on Sabattus Street early Wednesday morning. Police tape is up around the Blue Goose, with detectives currently on scene. Police say there is no danger to the public. (WGME)

2. Portland landlords will be allowed to raise rents by up to 2.6% in 2027 under the city’s rent control ordinance. That’s up slightly from the 2.2% increase allowed this year. The city is notifying renters at more than 20,000 registered long-term rental units. (PH)

3. A great white shark was caught on camera attacking a seal off Mount Desert Island Sunday. The shark was estimated to be between 10 and 15 feet long. It’s the latest in a series of great white sightings along Maine’s coast this summer. (WGME)

4. Portland Hearts of Pine have announced season ticket prices for their new women’s soccer team, which begins play in 2027. Tickets for the six-game home season at Fitzpatrick Stadium start at $84 — or $14 per game. The team sold 5,000 season-ticket deposits in just one hour back in June. (PH)

5. Labor Day travelers are facing higher prices and heavy traffic for one last summer getaway. AAA says domestic airfare is up 2%, hotels are up 9% and gas prices could top last year’s average of $3.19 a gallon. The worst traffic is expected Thursday and Friday afternoons. (NR)
