1. Thousands of Mainers lost power as the weekend nor’easter brought rain and gusty winds to the state. CMP says it restored power to more than 21,000 customers since Saturday afternoon, with outages peaking at more than 5,100 at one time. Winds are expected to remain gusty through this morning. 2. This weekend’s nor’easter brought some of the best surfing Maine has seen in months. Surfers from across New England and even Quebec packed beaches like Gooch’s and Higgins, taking advantage of waves that reached several feet high. One local surf shop owner called it the best surf they’ve had since June. (PH)

3. One person is dead and three others seriously injured after a head-on crash in Standish early Sunday morning. Investigators say a car crossed the center line on Chadbourne Road and hit a flatbed tow truck. The car’s driver died at the scene, and police say speed appears to have been a factor. (WMTW)

4. A new UMass Lowell/YouGov poll shows Democrat Troy Jackson with 48% support in Maine’s U.S. Senate race, compared with 43% for Republican Senator Susan Collins. The poll surveyed 650 likely Maine voters and has a margin of error of about 4.7 percentage points, meaning the race remains within the poll’s margin of error. (WGME)

5. The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland held their Shelter Sleep-In fundraiser Friday night. Our very own Hayley was one of the participants spending the night. She raised $1,661 for the ARLGP! And collectively, this year’s Shelter Sleep-In raised an incredible $82,766 for the animals. (IG)
