1. Five people are dead and five others injured after an Amazon cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport Sunday and struck several vehicles. The Boeing 767 was landing from Puerto Rico when it went off the runway and caught fire. Investigators are now working to determine why the plane was unable to stop. (WMTW)

2. A mistrial was declared in the Lindsay Clancy case after jurors couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict on whether she was criminally responsible for killing her three young children. Clancy will remain in state custody at a psychiatric hospital while prosecutors decide whether to try her again. She’s due back in court September 29th, when the defense is expected to ask the judge to find her not guilty and the next steps toward a possible retrial could become clearer. (AP)

3. An Auburn pizza shop is closed until further notice after a car crashed completely into the building early Monday morning. Heathco’s Pizza & Variety suffered hundreds of thousands of dollars in estimated damage, including a $100,000 pizza oven that was destroyed. The shop hopes to reopen within the next few weeks. 4. Hannaford has agreed to pay nearly $9 million to settle a class action lawsuit over unpaid overtime. More than 450 current and former middle managers will receive payments, with the settlement potentially benefiting more than 1,400 employees who worked unpaid overtime between 2018 and 2024. Hannaford maintains its department manager positions complied with state and federal labor laws. (WGME)

5. Portland’s Allagash White has been inducted into the American Craft Beer Hall of Fame. The flagship beer was recognized for helping introduce generations of American drinkers to Belgian-style beer. Allagash White also won gold at this year’s World Beer Cup, beating 67 other beers in its category. (PH)
