1. Bangor police say a kidnapping that took place Saturday night at Target is not part of a larger human trafficking ring, despite claims on Facebook. The woman and suspect knew each other “very well” and arrived together at Target. The department cautioned people to refrain from believing everything they read on Facebook. (BDN)

2. The person who bought the winning $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot ticket at Hometown Gas And Grill in Lebanon would have won more money if they bought the ticket just a mile away in New Hampshire, which has no income tax. After taxes annuity payments will add up to about $754 million or a lump sum of $404.1 million. In New Hampshire, the comparable figures would be $850.3 million over 30 years and $455 million as a lump sum. (WGME)

3. The Embrace, which honors Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King’s civil rights legacy and early years in Boston, was unveiled on Friday. The 20-foot high bronze sculpture is inspired by a 1964 photo of the couple embracing after Martin Luther King Jr. learned he had won the Nobel Peace Prize. 4. Eli Soehren of Oxford Hills is the winner of this year’s Fitzpatrick Trophy. The award is given each year to the top high school senior football player in Maine. Soehren accounted for over 2,000 yards of offense and 30 touchdowns, despite missing nearly three games due to injury. He helped lead the Vikings to their first state championship. He is also a standout in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA and has committed to play at Colby College in the fall. (WGME)
