I got to sit down with Jeff Shaw, founder of the Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM), along with two rising student musicians, Alita and Carter, to talk about MAMM’s incredible role in the Maine music scene and their upcoming performances at Back Cove Fest in Portland!
MAMM is a non-profit arts organization that gives young musicians access to real-world performance opportunities, instrument instruction, and band programs that go far beyond the average music lesson. The stage gets bigger this weekend as MAMM bands take over Back Cove Music Festival on both Saturday and Sunday!
