Dwayne Johnson is filming his new movie “Lizard Music” in Brooklyn, where he portrays a 70-year-old character known as the Chicken Man! He was spotted wearing a tan bucket hat, a beige coat, and a colorful tie, looking unrecognizable with gray hair and a bushy mustache, alongside his young co-star Theo Clark Leber, who carried an oversized lizard plush.
The film, directed by Benny Safdie, is based on the children’s book by Daniel Pinkwater and follows a boy who discovers strange lizard musicians on late-night TV and befriends an eccentric old man. Following his previous collaboration with Safdie on the 2025 film “The Smashing Machine,” Johnson expressed enthusiasm for the transformative role during a talk at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival.
Johnson has shared that he lost 30 pounds for the role, noting the challenges of transforming from his usual muscular build, stating that the commitment involved “eating less chicken.” Other cast members include Rachel McAdams, Colman Domingo, David Krumholtz, Jeff Goldblum, Alicia Silverstone, and Regina Hall.
