Team USA has officially captured its most successful Winter Olympics performance ever! A thrilling victory in men’s hockey over rival Canada secured the final gold medal for the Americans.
Figure skater Alysa Liu captured a gold medal, ending a 24-year drought for U.S. women in the individual event.
In addition to ice hockey and figure skating, Team USA secured gold in freestyle skiing, speed skating, alpine skiing, bobsleigh, snowboarding, curling, luge, and short track.
There was also love in the air in Italy! Hilary Knight, captain of Team USA’s women’s hockey team, proposed to speed skater Brittany Bowe. Their relationship deepened during the COVID-19-affected 2022 Beijing Games, when they spent time together in a tightly controlled environment, allowing them to connect without external distractions.
