Registration is open for the 6th Annual Women’s Wave, the nation’s largest and coldest International Women’s Day dip, returning to Willard Beach on Saturday, March 7th!
Hosted by Two Maine Mermaids, the event aims to bring 3,000 participants together to walk into the Atlantic Ocean in a symbolic show of unity, strength, and collective power. Organizers hope to stretch dippers across all 2,100 feet of the beach, making this the largest Women’s Wave to date.

Women’s Wave Weekend will also include a kickoff party on Friday, March 6th at Austin Street Brewery in Portland. The event gives participants and supporters an opportunity to connect ahead of the dip!
New this year, organizers are introducing the Women’s Wave Passport. It’s a free interactive tool hosted on the Vibemap app that connects participants with local businesses offering special discounts and promotions throughout the weekend.
Two Maine Mermaids, founded by Kelsy Hartley and Caitlin Hopkins, is a Portland-based community organization focused on creating connection through joyful events and cold water experiences.
