3. Police in Maine are warning parents never to leave children alone in parked cars after a recent spike in calls. Even on an 80-degree day, the inside of a vehicle can reach nearly 100 degrees in just 10 minutes and 114 degrees within 30 minutes, creating a life-threatening situation. (WMTW)
4. Two people suffered burns after a boat caught fire on Moosehead Lake Tuesday, forcing them to jump into the water to escape the flames. Both were rescued by nearby boaters, with one treated at the scene and the other taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (WMTW)
5. Nintendo is shutting down Mario Kart Tour on September 30, ending support for the seven-year-old mobile game with no offline version planned.
