Don’t you hate it when you try to rob a Popeye’s and you just happen to pick the one day a giant teenager is interviewing for a job?
Just kidding, but there are some issues that need to be addressed with this story. First, if you’re looking for some quick cash, why choose a Popeye’s? This criminal couldn’t think of any other place that might be a better option? Secondly, homeboy didn’t do a quick look-around before blatantly reaching for the cash register? There could have been two police officers annihilating some Bonafide chicken 10 feet away that might have given this guy second thoughts about robbing such a legendary fast food joint. But there were no police nearby on this day. Who was nearby? How about a criminal’s second worst nightmare: Devin Washington. A literal man among boys, kinda. A 6’4” Defensive Lineman. Think about this one…Vince Wilfork is 6’2”. If I snatched a quick $24 out of a Popeye’s register and turned around to see DW waiting for me to make a move, I’d drop the money and ask for forgiveness before things quickly went downhill and wouldn’t think twice about it. B’lieve dat.
