There’s a new Miss Universe!!
Yesterday (Sunday Jan 29), women representing 86 countries from across the globe competed in the annual competition to become the new 2017 Miss Universe.
Congratulations to the woman who came out on top, Miss France Iris Mittenaere with a crown on her head!
Iris is only 23 years old with a bright future as she pursues her degree in Dental Surgery and won the judges over with her “brains, beauty, and charisma during the whole competition”.
The competition goes for three days long consisting of many interviews alongside a swimsuit and evening gown presentation. The semi-finalists are named and then go on to compete in swimwear, evening gown, and what is called “final question and final look”. Miss Colombia (remember her from last year?) and Miss Haiti rounded out the top 3, and a congratulations is in order for them as well!
By the way, Steve Harvey..can we talk about him coming back to host the competition after last years fun? Don’t worry he announced the right winner this year, and good for him he even poked fun at himself on live television about announcing the WRONG winner last year!
