In the wake of the many police related incidents over the past few years where unarmed civilians have been gunned down, Nas attempts to shed light in his new video for “Cops Shot The Kid.” In the video, unarmed black men can be seen as the target of police brutality, as Nas stands fist and hands held high to the sky in opposition. Kanye, who produced and appears on the song, is nowhere to be found while a brief Slick Rick cameo pops up in the final moments.
