A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces has made history by winning the 2026 Kia WNBA Most Valuable Player award! This her record fifth MVP title and third consecutive win, a first in the league’s 30-year history.
In her ninth WNBA season, Wilson averaged 26.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game, leading the league in both points and blocks, further solidifying her dominance. She received 65 out of 74 first-place votes and totaled 713 points.
Wilson’s achievement adds to her legacy, with only three other players in WNBA history (Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson) having won the MVP award three times, while Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the NBA record with six MVPs.
