Last night was the MTV Movie & TV Awards hosted by Zachary Levi, who made headlines of his own with some of his jokes. Levi made a joke about Ray J, who is from Love & Hip Hop, about his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian. He said “Although I’m sure some of you are more familiar with his work as a cameraman” which then led his wife, Princess Love, to give the middle finger to the cameras.
Did not have to shade Ray J like that

This year’s nominations were dominated by Avengers: Endgame, which took home the best movie award, Game of Thrones, which won best show, and RBG, which lost to Surviving R. Kelly as the best documentary. Definitely no surprise that the Avengers and Game of Thrones won big this year!
The show also introduced three new categories. The first is “reality royalty” which was won by Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, “most meme-able moment” which was won by The Bachelor, and “best real-life hero” which was won by Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Also, the show continued their new tradition, started in 2017, which does not separate nominees by gender. Which honestly, is a pretty cool thing that they are doing. Maybe other award shows will shift to this new tradition?
Two of the big award winners included Dwayne Johnson with the Generation Award and Jada Pinkett Smith with the Trailblazer Award!
Congrats to all of the winners!
