We received the sad news on Saturday that after nearly eight months of marriage, our favorite longtime couple decided to split. Apparently, the split was caused by the couple clashing over partying.
Miley Cyrus’ public image may make her seem like a wild child, but sources say the singer fought with Liam Hemsworth about his partying ways. A friend of the couple told PEOPLE Magazine exclusively that “Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he’s this chill surfer dude, but that’s actually [not accurate]. Liam parties with his friends and Miley thinks he should’ve grown out of that by now.”
Another source said that he can get “moody”. The source says “She’s been supportive of him when things get dark, but it’s tough. That’s something that has weighed on Miley and their relationship. He can also lash out at her, and he hates the attention their ups and downs bring.”
Not that long after the news, Cyrus was seen kissing Kaitlynn Carter. Multiple sources said she’s doing this because she is trying to have fun and put on a good face. But, they also said “…she’s trying to push Liam’s buttons whether she’ll admit it or not, but she’s hurt.”
Miley fought to make her marriage work and even wanted to go to therapy so she could be in a “healthy and focused place.” Some of the other issues the couple faces was Cyrus’ unconventional view of marriage. A friend of the couple said “He loves that she has her own career and focus, but he also wants a wife who cooks and would stay home with the kids.” Maybe being separated for a while will be good for the couple and who knows, they may get back together. After all, it has happened before. But, this is a sad time for the couple and we hope the best for them.
