June 19th at 8pm log on to the State Theatre Facebook Live page for Juneteenth! a streamed concert pre-recorded live from the empty State Theatre. Juneteenth! will showcase the talent of local black musicians and raise money for organizations that empower Portland’s Black Community.
This event both celebrates and is named after the American holiday, Juneteenth – the oldest commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Learn more about the history and significance of Juneteenth.
