1. Donald Trump announced on twitter that his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for coronavirus. Over the past few weeks, Giuliani has been traveling the country fighting for Trump in his battle to overturn the 2020 election. At many of these events, Giuliani was maskless. (CNN)
2. The U.S. tops 14.7 million Covid-19 cases with over 282,000 deaths. The country has added more than 1 million cases to its grim total in just five days. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 221 new cases during Sunday’s update. Maine’s death toll is 227 with 3,041 active cases. (WMTW)
3. The Maine Principals’ Association announced Friday that team-based practices and scrimmaging for moderate and high-risk interscholastic winter sports have been delayed until January 4, 2021.They were originally slated to begin on December 14. (WGME)
4. At its peak, about 225,000 Central Maine Power customers were without power. As of Monday morning, about 83,000 customers are still in the dark. Some Mainers are not expected to get power back until Wednesday. (WGME)
