4. Gorham is installing new cameras on every school bus in an effort to help keep students safe. The automated stop arm cameras will record the license plate and the time and date of when someone passes a school bus illegally.
5. Plans have been unveiled for what would be the world’s tallest flagpole, located at Freedom Park in Columbia Falls, which is in Downeast Maine. The plans feature the world’s largest American flag, with plans to have it stand taller than the Empire State Building.
