Comedian and voice actor Gilbert Gottfried, known for his roles such as the loudmouth parrot Iago in Disney’s Aladdin, has passed at 67. Gottfried’s family announced his passing Tuesday afternoon, while his publicist revealed the comedian had been battling muscular dystrophy. Brooklyn-born Gottfried, known for his shrill voice, had a brief, 12-episode stint on Season 6 of SNL in 1980 and also starred in Beverly Hills Cop II. Gottfried’s family has asked that we “please keep laughing as loud as possible” to honor him.
