1. Governor Janet Mills signed an executive order Tuesday aimed at protecting reproductive rights in Maine. Her order prohibits Maine state agencies from cooperating with another state’s investigation into anyone seeking reproductive rights in Maine.
2. A 35-year-old man is in the hospital after being shot Monday night in Portland’s Kennedy Park neighborhood. Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect.
3. New data from the Portland Police Department shows the city is set to break its own record for deadly drug overdoses. It has responded to 28 fatal overdoses already this year. That’s more than all of last year combined, when there were 23.
4. The U.S. Postal Service has announced that the price of a first-class ‘Forever Stamp’ will increase from 58 cents to 60 cents, starting this Sunday, July 10th. Feel free to stock up before the price hike.
