- Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be celebrated nationally on Monday. The Children’s Museum in Portland is offering three days of MLK-related events, billed as a celebration of Black arts and expression. Art projects and storytelling will teach visitors about the history of Black artists in Maine and beyond. (PH)
- Dr. Shah is leaving Maine after being appointed the Principal Deputy Director at the U.S. CDC, which is second in leadership under U.S. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky. Dr. Shah was appointed head of the Maine CDC in 2019 and quickly became a household name across Maine during the COVID-19 pandemic. (WGME)

- Sierra Mist is canceled. This week, Pepsi launched Starry as its signature citrus beverage. Sierra Mist was popular, but it never got close to competing with Coca-Cola’s brand, Sprite. Starry is already available in stores. (Today)
