1. Portland police are warning Asian families that they appear to be the target of burglars. At least two homes in Portland have been burglarized and the perpetrators may be responsible for similar thefts throughout New England and New York. (WGME)
2. A SoPo mail carrier has been charged for aiding a dark web drug trafficking ring. Katie Montgomery allegedly gave advice on how to import drugs, such as Ketamine and MDMA, into the U.S. and checked the status of incoming packages to see if they had been flagged. (WGME)
3. A train carrying “limestone slurry” derailed in Androscoggin County. No one was injured and none of the limestone slurry was spilled and there is no risk to the public. (WMTW)
4. Two more suspected rabid raccoons attacked a man, a stray cat and a pet dog in separate incidents in Bowdoinham. One raccoon was killed and taken for rabies testing. The other remains on the run. Residents have been urged to stay vigilant. (PH)
5. Indiana and Gorham native Mackenzie Holmes became the second No. 1 seed to lose before the Sweet 16, falling to Miami, 70-68 yesterday. Holmes had 22 points and nine rebounds after. Post game Holmes said “It hurts to go out this way.” (PH)
