Just last week we got to hear a little snippet of a song that Drake might have on the way before he embarks on the road for tour this summer. The song sounds like something you’d expect from Drake – dark, melodic, crooning about a love lost or perhaps a love yet to be found. Well, just a couple of days after the snippet hit his IG story, the song in its entirety was played on the Sound 42 Fri Yiy Show on Sirius XM.
In hearing the full song, we got to the root of Drake’s motives, as he samples Kim Kardashian talking about her divorce from Kanye West, a sound byte taken from the 2021 season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Are Drake and Kanye friends? Enemies? Maybe we’ll never truly know the ins and outs of their seemingly complicated relationship, but something smells, that’s for sure.
