2. Jeremy Mercier of Auburn, faces drug trafficking charges after a large quantity of fentanyl, worth $3m, was found in a crate at local restaurant, Mac’s Grill. The shipment was believed to contain mugs, but employees found a tote with Mercier’s name and what they suspected was drugs. (WMTW)
3. The Maine Principals’ Association hosted their second esports state championships at Central Maine Community College. Noble High won the Rocket League championship. Freeport won the Super Smash Bros. championship. Cape Elizabeth won the League of Legends championship. Thirty-one schools fielded teams this spring – up from 10 schools three years ago. (PH)
4. The iconic “Pier French Fries” and “Bill’s Pizza” opened for the season in Old Orchard Beach Friday. The owners of “Pier Fries” bought nearby “Bill’s Pizza” last summer. They have a combined 165 years in business. (WGME)
5. After the greatest regular season in NHL history the Bruins exited the playoffs last night in the first round after a game 7 overtime loss. The Celtics kickoff round 2 of the playoffs against the 76ers tonight in Boston. (PH)
