2. Officials say cocaine was found in the White House in a cubby “routinely used by White House staff and guests to store cell phones.” Before it was confirmed to be coke, the White House was briefly shut down on Sunday. The President wasn’t at the White House when the drug was discovered. (CBS)
3. Global temperatures hit a record on Monday with an average worldwide temperature of 63F, underscoring the dangers of increasing carbon emissions generated from burning fossil fuels. 5. Joey “Jaws” Chestnut didn’t let a lengthy rain delay stop him from winning another Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest, downing 62 franks and buns in 10 minutes.
