A lot of toxicity is displayed in today’s R&B music (and hey…I’m here for it – the pain makes for good music) but Usher wants you to know we still good.
Breaking up amicably without leaving a trail of pain and destruction, all while wishing each other well on the path forward? At 44 years old, Usher knows that this is the best way to maturely carry yourself, even when you wish things could have been different. Of the song, the ATL native says, “‘Good Good’ is about being in a relationship with someone and ultimately letting them know like, ‘Yo, we don’t have to be enemies.’ We might not be good good, meaning we may have not made it to forever, meaning we may not have been the relationship that was going to last forever in the way that you thought, but we can be good.”
