After months of teasing a brand new album, telling the fans at every stop of his “It’s All A Blur Tour” that it’s coming soon, and even giving us the cover art done by his young son, we finally have a release date for the forthcoming For All The Dogs.
He made the announcement on his Instagram earlier today by posting a clip of his father, Dennis Graham, performing live to an audience back in his day. “FOR ALL THE DOGS SEPTEMBER 22” is all that was said to caption the post, and I would just like to thank Drake for deciding to drop on my birthday. Virgo season, baby!
Twitter user @gothamhiphop pointed out that this is actually pretty prophetic for Drake if we look back at some of the lyrics from 2013’s Nothing Was The Same intro, “Tuscan Leather”. Almost a decade later to the day…who’s still around? Not just around, but still at the top.
Drake on Tuscan Leather:
“Just give it time, we’ll see who’s still around a decade from now” – September 24, 2013
Almost exactly 10 years later, on September 22, 2023 he will be dropping his 8th studio album ‘For All The Dogs’
