1. Investigators say the body of 52-year-old Danielle Goodwin of Freeport was found along Clark’s Pond Road near Home Depot. The medical examiner’s office ruled Goodwin’s death a homicide. Officials are asking for help in finding the car she was last seen in, a blue 2016 Honda CRV, with a Maine license plate reading 2773VM. (WMTW)

5. The United Soccer League announced on Thursday that a pro soccer team is coming to Portland in 2025. Portland will be the first New England team in League One, which currently has 12 teams. They are still negotiating the lease agreement for Fitzpatrick Stadium. USL to Portland has committed to privately fund facility upgrades at the 6,000-seat stadium, including increasing accessibility, adding locker rooms and renovating the press box.
