2. A walkway collapse that injured 11 people at Doubling Point Lighthouse in Arrowsic was caused by rotted support beams, police said Tuesday. There are no plans for a criminal investigation into the collapse. (PH)

4. The iconic B&M Baked Bean sign came down in Portland yesterday. Demolition began at the historic former B&M Baked Beans factory in June. The building will be the new home of the Roux Institute, which is part of Northeastern University. (WGME)
