Eight TikTok creators have sued the US government over a potential ban of the app if its Chinese-owned company doesn’t divest within the year.Their lawyers say the law violates the creators First Amendment rights to free speech and that they “rely on TikTok to express themselves, learn, advocate for causes, share opinions, create communities, and even make a living.” A TikTok rep says the company is footing the bill for this lawsuit.
