This summer, there will be more than ever going on at Allagash Brewing Company! While the Portland-based campus has already been ranked by Tripadvisor as the #1 thing to do in Portland, Maine, these additions will solidify the brewery as one of the most enjoyable and welcoming places in Maine for families and groups of all ages.
The Allagash Tasting Room team is also happy to announce that they will be open 7 days per week, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Kicking off this month to coincide with the extended hours, Allagash is hosting events, activities, classes and more, in addition to serving their award-winning beer. Summer fun includes:
- The opening of the family-friendly Backyard at Allagash. This outdoor, family-friendly area includes activities, games, and (upcoming) a lobster boat to explore—with a special can selection served out of their custom tiny house.
- The Sip & Learn Series that features recreational and informative classes, ranging from cheese and beer pairings, to jewelry-making sessions; register online here.
- Award-winning, quintessential Maine fare and more from Bite Into Maine, the lobster roll truck that makes Allagash’s Tasting Room its second home (view the menu here).
- Wild Blueberry Wine and Dry Cider, both made in-house using Maine-grown fruit, plus non-alcoholic beverage options.
Beer enthusiasts will find plenty to keep them engaged, with offerings like:
- Guided tours of the original brewing space, which opened in 1995 and jump-started a Maine craft beer revolution. Learn more here.
- The return of two fan favorite summer beers: Two Lights, a Lager with Sauvignon Blanc Must and Champagne Yeast (ABV 6.7%; releasing June 20) and Floating Holiday, releasing June 27).
- Immersive tastings at The Cellars, an intimate space on site that’s home to the most experimental and complex beers made by the brew team – many of which are not available anywhere else.
This all complements a wide selection of both year-round and brewery-only beer, available both on-tap and to-go.
The Tasting Room, located at 50 Industrial Way in Portland, Maine, is open 7 days a week: Sunday – Wednesday 11am-6pm; Thursday 11am-7pm; and Friday-Saturday, 11am-8pm.
