3. A Maine woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in Portland. Police said Nichole Staples was in possession of 88.4 grams of fentanyl, which can be considered lethal at just 2 milligrams. (WMTW)
4. Portland officials are warning people not to feed bread to birds in the city’s parks after they recently found a Canada goose with a fatal deformity caused by poor nutrition. According to Maine Audubon, giving bread to wild birds is like giving them candy because there is no nutritional value in it. (WMTW)
